Part of Mintfest 2011

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon or dance the evening away as the flavours of the live world music stage get you into a festive mood.

On Friday enjoy a high-energy performance from The Chipolatas, three musical clowns presenting physical feats with live squeezebox and breakbeats (8pm). Then at 9.15pm get a small taster of Bernard Massuir, the master of extraordinary voice who will also perform his cabaret show at the Brewery Maltroom on Saturday.

Saturday evening kicks off at 6pm with red-hot Latino guitar blues from popular Lancaster band, Lava, there's more from The Chipolataas at 7.30pm and don't forget your dancing shoes for Skavolution, an eccentric and anarchic troupe that makes a new sound out of an old style. They'll be taking the stage at 8.30pm.

Sunday is a festive affair which starts in the afternoon at 2.30pm with Dwi Gambira Sari (Gamelan) from Soundwave. It's followed by rhythmic Drumming from Boom Dang (3.30pm & 6pm),  those tireless Chipolatas at 4.30pm, a unique blend of Balkan Folk mayem from Sheelanagig (5pm) and our headline act the legendary Kanda Bongo Man who takes the stage at 6.30pm.
