Mintfest 2011

Mintfest 2011

"A weekend of performance that is one of the friendliest and most enjoyable on the outdoor calendar. Mintfest is a reminder of the power of streets arts to bring a community together and also attract audiences from outside the area." Lyn Gardner, The Guardian, August 2011.

Kendal's International Festival of Street Arts returns for its 5th year...

We've dreamt, imagined, thought, plotted and planned and finally, we can let the cat out of the bag!

We've been bursting to tell you what will be happening at this year's festival, so it is with great pleasure that we announce that the Mintfest 2011 programme is ready for your perusal and, we hope, your pleasure.

From Friday 2 to Sunday 4 September around 150 performers will fill nearly every pocket and corner of Kendal with an intoxicating mix of dance, comedy, music, drama and magic. This year we've found a new venue and re-incarnated an old, favourite venue to use in a new and magical way. And then, of course, there are the incredible shows that will fill them.

Over the event pages below we'll introduce you to all the venues and to some of our artists.  So, scroll down the page and enjoy Mintfest 2011...
